After Amsterdam, we took a train to a hostel/refurbished castle in Heemskerk Holland. Waiting for us were 16 bikes which we practiced riding around the property before heading out the next day on our bike trip. We split into two groups, seven kids with each leader. My group, with Chahni, headed to Haarlem first and stayed there for two nights. We visited the city center and wandered around the Dutch shops. Some of us sat down for coffee after seeing a windmill by the waterfront. We also biked to a beautiful sand dune beach frequented by large yet friendly ox. Now we are on our way out of Haarlem and headed towards Noordwijk.

On the second day of the bike trip we woke up in hostel ready to take on 60 km of biking. We started in Egmond aan Zee and spent the day riding down the coast of the Netherlands to Noordwijk-Binnen. As we winded down the path we pedaled through small Dutch towns and open fields. We were all determined to finally reach Noordwijk. The trip in total took 7 hours to complete. Once we arrived we celebrated what we had accomplished. We then rested in the hostel and ate well deserved ice cream. Finally we went to sleep ready to take on another day of biking in the Netherlands.
