Hey, everyone!

Checking in one last time before leaving the walled city of Osimo for the rural and picturesque Dolomite region of Italy. Perched atop a hill surrounded by sunflower fields, Osimo was the most idyllic setting for this homestay week. The host families loved welcoming the students into their homes, and we are confident that the departure will be bittersweet for students leaving their temporary famiglie, despite their excitement for the adventures to come.

As we begin our journey tomorrow to the Dolomites, we will also begin our “technology fast.” As a group, the students have decided to take on the challenge of temporarily disconnecting from the distracting digital world that surrounds us. For three consecutive days we will be disconnected while immersing ourselves in the fresh air and natural beauty of northern Italy. Please keep this in mind as we try to be as present as possible in our extraordinary experiences here. (We will, of course, still have contact with the Putney Barn as necessary.)
